I have been tieing up my aubergines on to cane sticks in the polytunnel and found this 9 inch long aubergine it weighs 1 1/2 pounds (or 600grams). So I have just peeled and salted it for half an hour rinsed it then put in microwave for 5 minutes to partly cook out on to a tray with parchment paper

Have finished these two Ambulance Packs ready to send off to the Blue Light Babies Charity. It consists of 1 blanket and 2 hats, one newborn size and 1 pre term size. A pack is then kept in each ambulance just in case it’s needed. More Ambulance services are now requesting these too…..which is great

I have finished my octagon blanket , 12 octagons , 6 squares, 10 triangles and 4 corner triangles this is the biggest blanket I have made , 5 foot 6 inches by 4 foot 6 inches . I had to stand on the settee to take the picture it’s so big .

this octagon is a three D cable pattern that I made up myself from a picture posted on Pinterest. The pattern is supposed to be free but you have to subscribe $22. To get it with other free patterns. I didn’t want to do that so I made my own.

I so enjoyed my first bit of crochet I have decided to do another project.  This time I’m making a blanket for our snuggle muffin of a  cat, Rosie 😊.  Continuing with the them of granny squares - this will be granny “circle squares”.  Again using wool that I already have. 

Bead embroidery on canvas, I started with the paws, it is very restful thing to do I have my lamp with magnifying glas so there is no eye straini may add this as a centre piece to a quilt is my first idea , other ideas may pop in to my head as I want it to be useful rather than just framed and stuc

My new hydrangea put out some flowers this year, last year it was very small and only managed a couple but this year it did a lot better and I look forwards to seeing it grow bigger. the flowers are cone shaped and are pink at the base and change to white towards the top, so pretty.
