Today I made a deep chicken pie with the leftovers of yesterday’s roast. There is a thick layer of chicken on the bottom, then vegetables and then potatoes and gravy. Couldn’t resist decorating the pastry top with with Christmassy stars.

It looks great I make a chicken pie that is similar chicken and rice with lemon and herbs at the bottom thin slices of chicken breast on top and eggs boiled and halved on top and then the pastry cover with a rich pastry it’s delicious I never thought to try it with potato instead of rice
