Liz asked me what my instant duo pot looked like, this is it,
It has a separate lid for air frying. And is an 11 in l. Meaning it has 11 functions. I successfully made a treacle sponge pudding in it this morning. The instant pot automatically steamed the pudding for 40 minutes and pressure cooked it for 20 minutes. Then it was all done only taking an hour we’re as on the hob steaming would of taken 2 1/2 hours, so saving on electric. It tasted just like my mums old fashioned steamed pudding.
I can almost taste that! Gimme!
Thank you Linda I have never heard of these till you ladies started using them with Lisa being the first I think , I will do some research . Again I am grateful for info
Sally Ann’s ninja is the best, where I have two lids one for the pressure cooking and associated programmes ,the second lid for air frying and associated programmes. Sally Ann’s does everything in one lid, and of course Sally Ann’s was twice the cost of mine. But all in all they both do the same thing, and will pay for themselves with the saving of electric and the saving of water with less washing up and less time standing in the kitchen. I am so pleased with mine, it can make so many things. My next recipe is to do a whole cauliflower in 3 minutes and put a cheese sauce over it for cauliflower cheese.
Thank you Linda , it does sound good , how does it compare to the ninja that Sally-Ann has , ? Your steamed pudd looks yummy
It looks yummy, and so quick. x
