Our front door wreath has now been updated for Autumn. I’ve now had a wreath on the the front door for over a year and have been updating it each season.  I love doing this and get so many comments from people when they come to the door.  🍁🍂

In the green house I am growing for the first time two sweet potatoe plants , they are now blooming and as soon as the leaves and blooms die I can harvest the sweet potatoes.

I have been tieing up my aubergines on to cane sticks in the polytunnel and found this 9 inch long aubergine it weighs 1 1/2 pounds (or 600grams). So I have just peeled and salted it for half an hour rinsed it then put in microwave for 5 minutes to partly cook out on to a tray with parchment paper

The polytunnel harvest for today is purple podded dwarf beans and yellow podded dwarf beans , yellow courgettes , there is still loads more to come they are a pick and come again crops the aubergine is nearly ready to pick too . Still have to pick outside black currants.

I picked some homegrown rhubarb from the garden and decided rather than making a crumble I would make some cordial.  I love making cordials rather than buying them, simply because I know which ingredients are used.  Yes lots of sugar but absolutely no chemicals.
