A Big one, in the recent freeze - it dropped on my backyard.!
A robin came a-visiting for crumbs I could discard.
It was the favourite birdie of a Grandpa long since gone -
And when one comes to visit, it like Grandpa's looking on.
And Granny went to join him , a year or so ago -
This year her gift of snowdrops too, popped up to say 'Hello!'
Lovely pictures and poem MT. I was thinking of Mary yesterday when I was reading through a poetry book I have. x
Thanks all for your kind words!
How lovely both the pics and the poem MT , I too thought of Mary when I read your poem x
Love your poem, you have followed in dear Mary’s footsteps, the photos are wonderful. X
Lovely pictures .x
Lovely poem MT and I always appreciate a Robin picture. The robins here are the size of blackbirds and have a small patch of dirty orange they are certainly not the sweet birds we call robins in the UK
