The first picture is what it looked like when picked up I didn’t like it .It just was solidly painted so I gave it a sand to make it look aged I then added some gold paint.I painted the door panels with a pale grey and decoupage with butterflies from napkin.

It’s such a lovely dresser Lisa. I love what you’ve done. It looks fab. x
Oh, fantastic, Lisa!!
A beautiful dresser -and what a lot of work you put into it too!!
I like the distress look , I confess I don’t think the butterfly decoupage with the distresss as it looks out of character , but Lisa as long as you are happy we all have different taste . X
I love the dresser and I think you have improved it because the colour it was did nothing for it, but I don't like the butterflies obviously ... ugh creepy little things and I have to agree with Meer72 that I'm not a fan of the distressed look. I know it's fashionable and many people like it but give me something new and sparkly any day. However I do think the light colour improves it and I do like the idea of the gold to enhance those carvings.
Lovely dresser, I personally don’t like the stressed look I am of that generation, but I love your budda’s on the top displayed, plus the carved legs on the upper shelf. Xx
Nice work Lisa , it looks a good solid dresser , well done.
That's a wonderful transformation xx
