Sally Ann showed me how to make and ironing pad for pressing the seams on my sewing projects. She gave me an old place mat with cork backing, I chose a piece of fabric from my stash , and then cut out a square from my needle insulated lining, so with the place mat then on top the insulated lining then the cotton fabric, turned the edges over to the back and stapled it down then glued a piece of felt over the back covering the staples so they don’t scratch the table , photo of my ironing pad.
I love it I have a woollen pad I bought but this would work just as well
