Been working on this for the past 2 weeks , most of it done from my armchair whilst I have been unwell, but I am so pleased with it and it took my mind of my ailments .
the cover is fabric and hides a couple of cereal boxes , I sewed my signatures into the spine
my dog of choice is a German shepherd and I had several over the years until Ruth was born then we discovered she had asthma and dog hairs were an irritant so my last German shepherd โ Tsar โwent to live with my friend and we did our research and have had labradoodles since . Some pages were coffee dyed this is my first venturn into paper dying . Unfortunately my journal smells strongly of coffee , however itโs a great way to age paper .
Pages are too numerous to show all but I have pictured a few for you
there is ample space for journaling included too
I also have numerous tags and a mini book enclosed and some recycled coffeee dyed envelopes for pockets
just need to get rid of the coffee smell now ๐
Wow...It's fantastic Liz. I love it. Fabulous. x
Journal in freezer bag with dryer sheets every second page , I hope it smells lovely , been 48 hours in bag so far ๐ค
Lovely journal, they are such handsome dogs aren't they? You can put it in a plastic bag with a dryer sheet to get rid of the smell of coffee xx
Looks amazing. I love the frills that you have added to some of the pages x
Thank you ladies I have heard tumble dryer sheets between pages can help with coffee smell ๐ค
Looks fabulous liz x
What a Labour of Love! That's fantastic, Liz!
Nicely made, maybe you could Leanne it open and light a scented candle or an incense stick nearby. I have taken to using some incense sticks that are lavender scented they get rid of cooking smells far faster than a scented candle
