I made a snow globe without the liquid. My intention was to add modge podge and Epsom salt to the inside to make it look like snow. Now I am stuck. It looked a lot easier on the video. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Looks gorgeous. Never made one before so really enjoying seeing a new craft.
Well, it’s looking good so far.
Don’t know how to proceed though…
Probably nothing to do with this but I was watching an old Kirsty (11/1) and a cake decorator was using a food processor or coffee grinder to make snow out of rice paper.
Interesting.
I've used Epsom salts on the outside of a jar to make a Christmas lantern, just used PVA and stuck on the crystals. It lasted for a couple of years before the moisture in the air started to dissolve the Epsom salts.
Hi there, welcome to our group. It looks like you have made a good start with it. The video I saw that was similar was to make a snowman snow-globe. with that one they had a jar like yours and put a tree and a little reindeer. I didn't see if they put snow in the bottom, I assume they did. However they got a polystyrene ball from a craft store and cut one side off to make a flat surface and glued it to the top of the lid. They then painted it (I know from experience that you need to use gesso first because that polystyrene sucks in all the paint if you don't) Then they covered the ball in mod podge and then patted the epsom salts over the mod podge to give the snow effect. They went on to decorate that as the head with the jar with the decorations in the snow-globe part being the body. So I'm thinking that inside the jar you would do the same thing, paint inside the jar in gesso and then white paint to the level you want the snow to come up to, pour in mod podge and sprinkle epsom salts on top. I would add some very fine silver glitter too. Leave to dry completely, if you use a heat gun to help dry it, be careful not to melt the jar if it's plastic, you might find standing it on a heat mat at a low enough temp that won't melt the jar, (put a towel between the jar and the heat mat if you need to)
Once all that is dry, add your trees/decorations, you might need to stand then on little cardboard stands so they will glue in well, just paint the cardboard stands in the same way and add the epsom salts so they just blend in. When everything is in place and dry, take more epsom salts and glitter and mix it together and add to the globe to make the snow that floats around when you shake it.
I have found E6000 glue and hot glue work great together, E6000 gives a strong hold but the hot glue will hold it immediately while the other sets. I believe the video I watched used the same mix.
Hope this helps, I look forwards to seeing the end result.
