I read this really interesting bit of information. All the flowers and leaves in all the bouquets presented to all the medal winners at this year’s Beijing Winter Olympics have been hand crocheted by the Muskoka Yarn Connection volunteers. Each bouquet takes a minimum of 32 hours to crochet and there are a total of 1251 bouquets to honour all the medal winners at the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. 😀💐

What a marathon!
A whole new take on yarn bombing!
Well done them!
I bet they all crocheted something very different to flowers after they had crocheted all of those. Last time I made a blanket covered in flowers I kept getting a cramp in my hand for weeks later. It's good to know they gave them something that could last
