Hello. I made this little hand sewn patchwork cushion out of scrap materials. The stripe material is from a set of napkins that we no longer use but I have kept them because I like the material. I added some essential oil to the filling for a lovely scent. I was going to keep it in the craft room but daughter Molly has taken possession for herself.

Good idea with the rice! Wouldn't have thought of it.
Lovely make!

Great make and useful
Thank you for the lovely comments x
It’s gorgeous. The added essential oil is such a lovely idea too. x
Lovely , I can see Molly wanting every thing you make, and you make them so well.💕
Nice, I use rice in my microwave heat packs
Lovely little cushion , I bet it smells nice
Thank you. Its approximately 9.5 inches. I sprinkled some essential oil that I like from The White Company called Seychelles over some rice. I let that dry and then put some in the cushion. I watched a very old crafting programme from Kirstie Allsopp and she made one but used Bran to fill hers. I didn’t have any bran in the cupboard so used rice instead. I have to say I really enjoyed doing this.
Lovely, what kind of size is it, in the photo it looks maybe 12" but photos can be deceptive. what kind of filler did you use the essential oil on?
