My first try at mosaic crochet, it’s called Apache tears. Just did a swatch but will make fingerless gloves with this new crochet stitch.I intend to add this swatch and stitch to my multi crochet stitch blanket.

Yes you could do it for a border I have added it to my blanket with the other crochet stitches that are making it big I suppose you could call my blanket a crochet sampler.
I have to agree that some of them do look a bit difficult and since I find crochet to be relaxing I’m a bit slow to try one that doesn’t feel like it will be relaxing but I do love how it looks so I’m wondering if you could just do it for a border or accent row

The difference is mosaic crochet is worked at the front only and every row is started at the front so after every row you cut the yarn. The yarn ends are delt with later by crocheting a double border to hide the ends away. Tapestry crochet is woven at the back. With out cutting the ends , and mosaic crochet works in to the back loops of the stitch and drops down to the front loops of the row before.
