This is what I have collected for my next project , I bought 3 x Sashiko stencils and decided to get some Japanese fabric
The plain cotton 5 " squares I will embroider on . So theme is Japanese , maybe another rice bag not sure yet
Any thoughts ladies , inspire me

They look so inspirational!
Thank you Sally Ann , I was thinking maybe wheat bags for microwave , but lavender bags are good idea , I do need help sleeping
Ok another idea is a lavender pillow. Not a tiny one but something that is say about 8 inches square. Use the picture fabric in the centre and the gorgeous black and white ones around the edge and for the back. Then enhance bits of the picture with embroidery. I would line it and add a bit of batting between lining and outside to make it a bit squishy. Add lots of lavender (and rice or wheat to make it go further). Place on bed to help with sleep. x
Oh tray cloths inspire me sally- Ann and a cushion linda good idea , I have plenty lap quilts and with a 6 ft wide bed I am not going that big
Thank you both . More ideas welcome
I love the Japanese fabrics in the middle , with sashiko and the fabrics I would make the centre square of a quilt . The square I would quilt a you go. I would do the square panel embroider and sashiko surround the panel with Japanese fabrics then a square of backing a smaller square of wadding on the backing then your embroidered square panel on top, turn the backing around the edges . Then you have the centre of a quilt or a panel for a cushion.
Beautiful fabrics Liz. x
Just an idea that is totally different and random and is what came to mind when I saw the lovely fabrics. Two tray cloths. One for you and one for Jim to put on a tray when eating dinner on your laps. I use them to go on a tray for a pot of tea and cups etc. Makes it look pretty. They are just big enough to cover the tray. x
