I've been meaning to make some roman shades for the bathroom upstairs for a long time and just had never found the time. Even when I started I kept getting interupted because there always seemed to be something else I needed to do that was more important. However eventually I did manage to finish them. I've never made roman shades before so I just used some fabric I already had in my stash, probably if I made more I'd use a different fabric, something that would sit a bit flatter and something that didn't shrink when I ironed it ??
I still need to add in the weight in the bottom hem, I have it I just need to cut it to size and slide it into the channel I made for it. Once I do that it won't stick out as much and will hang a bit neater, but all in all it worked. I did not use circle screws at all, I used pulleys at the top and a cord lock

Fabulous. Love the fabric and the colour. x
Always meant to - never have! They look fab!
Looks really good and love the fabric and colours
thanks both, i got the fabric from the remnant box, i figured it would make a good curtain but to be honest it wasn't the best choice for roman blinds because no matter how much I ironed it i could not get a neat crease so i could get flat folds. And all that ironing caused the fabric to shrink a bit and make the lines of stitching pucker up a bit
Great job they look fab ,love the fabric
I love the colors and fabric patterns! Beautiful.
