This is the second sling bag I have made, this time it's from Noodlehead patterns. It's a bigger/taller size and a more casual design. This one doesn't really convert, other than I did add two bottom rings so it could be worn on either shoulder. It would be easy to convert the top middle part where the strap is sewn into place to add a D ring so that an extra strap could be added to convert to a back pack or the straps could be removed from there and extra D rings added higher up on the sides just below the zipper ends to convert to a shoulder bag. I do think this bag missed a trick not adding a slip pocket to the back, they are so easy to make and without it I just feel there is wasted space. It does have a nice inside pocket and front pocket with a flap that hides the zipper though. I also did mess up a bit on this one because I wanted to use some quilting fabric that I had in my store room for quite some time, but the pattern asked for canvas fabric. I should have added a thicket interfacing to account for the difference in fabric but I forgot so this bag doesn't hold it's shape as well as it should but it's still perfectly functionable.
