Diagonal crocheted Baby throw. I don't like the colours - they came in a cover kit with Your Crochet and Knitting Mag so I thought they must go , and it was just me. To do justice to the mags. I can't remember the makes they suggested with them. The sets of trebles ( like granny squares) are too big for a border too.
I was going to surround it in red, but Harry said 'if you're in a hole, stop digging!' I shall probably at least frog the border at some point and re-do.
Almost the last of the Chunky wool - a laprug.
Here is a machine-embroidered motif I was given. It is about 5 X 5 in. I have crocheted round in treble with a lovely satin-effect yarn from another kit free with a mag. I don't know yet what to do with it.
Any suggestions??
Thanks for your suggestions, Sarah!! Great!
I shall look out more blue and green!
😊
If you redid the border in the same colour blue or green that is in the centre it would be a nice little boys blanket, it sort of looks like a super hero stripe across it. Maybe they were supposed to be some kind of spring theme, yellow like easter chicks a spring day blue sky and a grassy green. Anyway I think you did a great job and well done for using up your stash. I need to do that. I'm worried about moving all my stuff into my new craft room, with it all in one room my husband will see just how much I have 😓
The embroidery could be framed and go on the wall or you could just use it as a mug rug, it's just big enough for a cup of tea/coffee and a couple of biscuits.
