I have been loving working on my embroidered flowers on the bag from Sarah This is an update so far

Made this one for Anita who has gone into a nursing home after losing her husband a few weeks ago Not decided what goodies to put inside , she is 85 yrs old . Any ideas ladies

A pouch to take projects in when out in car , it has a zipper closure and is fully lined . I couldn’t resist embellishing the bird on front

Pic of my second hand sewn hussif , this one has a zip down either side On the inside there is A pocket for needles etc , a small tape measure , a needle holder and thread In the bottom is a drawstring bag with embroidery thread , and a book for pins and then my scissors .

Ffinally took pics of my hand stitched hussif I will unroll it and tell you what’s all inside Top half holds : tape measure , then below seam ripper And fabric marker pen , Below that is a zipped pouch Next below that comes the scissors and needle and pins , a safety pin and finally a little pouch holding a fabric glue stick In the zipped pouch I have thread This is the outside when unrolled Rolls up and closed with a button , 1 hussif

Here is my latest make a tub for storage , there is a different fabric on each side This is all hand sewn and I found it relaxing

Finally felt well enough to post my re invented fabric runner in my bid to buy no more stash This was an 18" tray cloth , I halved it and rejoined into a 36" runner , embellished with long ago bought fabric

This is my latest fabric pouch which I made using the fat quarter I bought in January breaking my resolution to resist buying more stash 😬 I didn't need this fabric but I saw it reduced when I was buying appliqué pins and some new sewing needles , and I just loved it

I was looking for a solid sideboard and so many were MDF and flat packs , so decided to look for a second hand one Hubby was all doom and gloom saying it was risky buying one unseen . So I went ahead anyway and paid £ 150 and got this one , I have no complaints and the seller arrange a courier for me It arrived a few days ago I am pleased with my choice and it now holds all my sewing supplies , ( well nearly all ) 😆

Thank you to Carolyn and Sarah for my cards , and tree decoration already on tree . They are sitting on my new sewing box a gift from my eldest son One of the kittens got in on the act under the sewing box 🤔

This is my item for the Christmas challenge which I set in October , I challenged you all to take an item and Upcycle it for Christmas using stuff from your stash . Sorry it's taken so long to post pic , I blame it all on hurting my back . However as it's now in use I took a pic today

You wouldn't believe how much pain I am in after doing these sausage rolls , hubby so angry with me , but I feel useless as every time I try to do a task I suffer dreadfully. Anyway these are not my best effort but a dozen shortcrust with sausage and bacon and a dozen puff pastry with sausage and apple chutney , resting now before I pack them for storage ( 2 days to make 24 sausage rolls ) I hope they taste ok and it's been worth it .
