Following on from my post about picking our first harvest of homegrown pears a few days ago. Today I made poached pears in red wine with them. The house smells amazing. Its very easy and quick to make - just google poached pears. House smells amazing and I'm really impressed how they turned out. 🍐🍷 😀
I absolutely love Autumn - some fresh flowers from the garden and an apple cake with apples I picked earlier today.
Pears freshly picked this morning. This pear tree is now 3 years old and is the first year we have had any pears - 20 in total. I'll leave them a few days on plates to fully ripen and then poach them.
We got one pear from out tree - and never again. Finally we had to get it cut down as it was interfering with the telephone lines! 😥😥😥

My hubsand is working at a fire station this is the tower they practise in they had someone out to remove the hornets this is the amazing home they had made inside it.
