CherryPlums from the Garden

I’ve been picking my favourite cherryplums, morello cherries and a few runner beans.  I made a cherryplum crumble cake and some large muffins. The rest have been frozen for future crumbles, cakes and pies.  I planted the cherryplum tree about 3 or 4 years ago and this is the first year of a good crop.

They look very nice Sally-Ann I don't think I've ever had a cherry plum, are they quite sweet? Your cake and muffins look delicious.

Rag Doll

I made this from a book called My Rag Doll by Corinne Crasbercu, it is an adorable book with lovely dolls and clothes and a terrible book with difficult to follow patterns with very little detail and no pictures. Many of the patterns in the book have no pictures that show any details, like there are no details for the blouse for the doll on the front cover, it is covered with a bandana and dungarees, so when trying to follow the pattern you have no idea what you are aiming at doing. So with that in mind I have struggled through and often just used my own common sense as to how something should or could be made, I have never made clothes before so I'm no expert in this field.

Such a gorgeous rag doll and a lovely friendly face. She will be well loved.

✨ My First Diamond Painting Experience ✨

Blooming Unicorn

I recently tried diamond painting for the first time, and I chose a piece called Blooming Unicorn—a vibrant, magical design that immediately caught my eye.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but as I began placing each tiny gem, I found myself completely immersed. It was calming, almost meditative. For someone like me who’s usually easily distracted, this experience brought a rare sense of focus and joy.

The final result? A sparkling, colorful unicorn that now hangs on my wall—and a deep sense of accomplishment that I didn’t anticipate from a craft project.

This beautiful kit comes from FEELOOK Art, a brand full of inspiring and creative designs. I’m already looking forward to starting my next one!
