I had an old foot stall so I bought some lovely tapestry material and had watched how people had upholstered foot stalls and this is my first attempt. I need to sew some lining material to the bottom to cover up the wood and stains where the old staples where that will finish it off nicely.

Well done Linda, you have done a great job, no one would know that it was your first time. I agree a piece of felt or similar fabric would be great underneath, You have a useful piece of furniture that will probably end up staying in the family for many years to come.
