I made some of this paste used a stencil to give a cardboard journal texture I used i craft palette knife over a stencil.

This inspired me to look on Ye Olde Youtube - and I found videos by Creative Cat , and she has a round-up of all her home-made recipes for things like this - and chalk paint, Mod podge, glass paint and stuff too.
