Star Bright

Challenge to re-invent an old craft item.

I decided to re-purpose an old board that was the top of my craft trolley. This piece of wood already had little wooden feet on it. My old ironing small board had slipped down behind the sewing cabinet and I couldn't get it. So made another one,

Taking a piece of material a piece of insulating material and a piece of wadding I machine sewed all pieces together then I upholstered the board with this padded insulated piece. By glueing the material to the back of the board I haven't got a strong stapler to attach it to the wood.

Now I have a mobile ironing board on top of my craft trolley.

Great idea, I recovered my big ironing board in a similar way. I have a thick woolen mat made for ironing on that I put at the end of my craft desk, it's so useful for sewing seams and such when I'm sewing, but now I've seen this I'm wondering if I could just attach it to a small folding table I have and free up that end of the table.
