This year I gave myself a personal challenge to use as much of my craft/fabric stash as possible rather than keep buying stuff, mainly to cut down on waste. I’m really pleased with myself. I know its only August, but so far this year I have only bought fabric for my Coronation tablecloth and a few bits of Christmas fabric and a book from a charity shop that I bought at the start of the year, less than £20 the lot. Apart from that, every single craft/sewing project that I have done, I have managed to use what I already have. At the moment I am working on my summer challenge garden quilt. Again I'm using only fabric that I already have and the same for the wadding etc. Its amazing how resourceful you can be and to be honest its incredibly enjoyable using what you have.
To say I am feeling chuffed is an understatement.

Yes. Excellent plan, Sally Ann.
I promised too to use up or donate my stash and not to buy anything new.
Unless I really had to.
And then only from Charity shops.
And only if I was really, really tempted.

Great achievement sarah , maybe we should swap craft stash to cut down on waste , for example ask if anyone has what we need and offer a swap . Before we go buying more 😆
That’s a great commitment and brilliant achievement. I too am trying to use or give away to good causes, my stash. It does get out of hand but I keep seeing so many new fabrics appearing as more and more people move away from wanting leather bags and no matter how much bag hardware I seem to have I never have a complete set of everything I need in the same color metal. Those are my downfall
