Butterflies for hope and change, candles and lotus flowers for light, and an East Indian lady dressed in a Sari. The festival of light ( Diwali). Is between October 21st and October 26th this year.
Liz I couldn’t find the material I had bought specially for the base. Goodness knows where I put it. And I had read that butterflies where a sign of hope and change. So I used this material I had from making an up holstery foot stool . I also found some buttons that have letters printed on them so I will sew these on to the topper As well.
Beautiful!
Ingenious, you are clever
