Thought you might like to see more progress on the quilt. I have made all the coloured panels (picture below).
I then decided to make more work for myself and that I would have a white pathway around each panel. As you can see it is starting to look more like a quilt.
I am not following a pattern of any sort, its developing organically as I go. There is still a very long way to go. This is definitely not something to do if you hate long projects. 😀
Your patience is SO impressive! Wow! And so is that quilt! It is shaping up beautifully!
Wow loving it Sally-Ann it will be fab when finished
I have to say the back looks gorgeous. It will be such a shame to cover it all up once its made but I will take loads of photos. Yes I iron as I go. I have a small ironing board that I keep on my craft table made out of an old wooden/cork placemat that I covered with fabric and lined with the stuff you use for oven gloves. I then use my small travel iron which is perfect for my use and both items take up hardly any room.
It looks so very neat, are you ironing as you go? I love the Oliso craft iron for small projects, I have a wool ironing mat that I keep on the table to the side of me with the craft iron so I can quickly iron a seam as needed. What I like about the Oliso iron is that it doesn't turn off after ten minutes and it's just the right size for tight corners.
It's beautiful Sally-Ann. Loving the colours. x
Beautiful Sally Ann, I admire you for doing such a long project.
